MY DADS BIRTHDAY!

Its nearly someone's birthday, guess whose.... MY DAD! He is going to turn 35. He has always been there for me even when I am down. I love my dad and I know he loves me back. He has come to every single netball game that I have played. He spoils me and protects me whenever someone is mean to me. My dad is funny and kind at the same time. I LUV U DAD!

  Did you know?

My dad has a web page with lots more designs. So if click on this link: Behance it will take you straight there.

My dad is a graphic designer and before his new job he used to work at life FM. Here are some of the things he designed.

This is a colouring book that he designed. He even designed the pages and the packet of colouring pencils!

This is also one of the other designs he created for life fm.

Making lamingtons!

On Saturday night, I made yummy lamingtons at home. My mum and I were in charge of decorating while my dad made the sponge cake. The flavors were chocolate and boysenberry. We used coconut to coat the outside of the lamington and we used chocolate filling and cream in the centre. I made the boysenberry lamingtons and it was gooey because I had to dip it into boysenberry jelly.

The first time I dipped the sponge cake into the boysenberry jelly I really struggled but when I tried the second time I got used to it. As soon as we finished making it we put it in the fridge to set for dessert. When we finished having dinner we pulled them out and they looked gorgeous and tasted delicious.

My favorite part was eating the lamingtons and watching the all blacks win. I score my Saturday night a 10/10
                                   DID YOU KNOW?
Australians and New Zealanders argue over which country lamingtons come from.

Making magical rainbow cupcakes

On Saturday i made rainbow cupcakes with my mum and my cousin Leila at home. We decided to make them because we were bored.  Leila and I were both in charge of ingredients, I was the mixer and Leila was the measurer. We found the recipe on youtube and wrote it down on a piece of paper. The ingredients were vanilla extract, flour, sugar, eggs, butter and food coloring. The colours were yellow, green ,hot pink and blue.

We were so excited to make them, but guess what? The cupcake tray wasn't there! We finally found it at my mamas house and we continued baking. My favourite part was making lemon cream cheese frosting. It tasted sweet because my mum put to much icing sugar in the bowl. Overall,it was a 10/10.

Night Market!

On Saturday I went to the night market and it was super full! I went with my mum, aunty and my nana.   We bought a lot of food like dumplings, churros  and a BBQ dish, and it was sooo yum! There were heaps and heaps of stalls all around. The highlight of my day was to spend time with my family!
